How to show your love for story.

You mustn’t feel as though you are fighting for words- that’s not to say give up, walk away; just forget your expectations.

Don’t get any big ideas, they’re not going to happen. Big ideas will lead to never writing a word.

You won’t write a word if you have these big ideas because your body and heart both know that there is a lot more to writing than big ideas of success.

Your body and heart know much more than your brain thinks it does.

Let the story be your biggest, most important idea.

Tell the story very well for the sake of telling the story well, and you will tell the story well.

This is the only way to express love for story.

Sorry to jump in and disagree, BT (you know I don't like giving you grief ;) ), but I think the head has to be very firmly in conrtol in order to write. Letting the heart run things can give you a lot of energy, but the head focuses that energy.

Heya, Stella, it’s great to hear from you, and you know, You and Jim are perhaps my favorite commenter's because you pull me up short and tell me to check myself. This is the feedback a writer needs when they’re trying to polish a draft.
I don’t think either heart or head should be in control so much as the two should be working in balanced unison. You deserve a good haiku explanation, but in lieu of a good haiku, I’ll have to explain by means of this haiku = )

Should cart be driven,
Or Winters Horse be driven,
One shall fall to ruin.

Stella writes a great blog called “Stella Scripts” her humility coupled with her wonderful ability to write, and willingness to support new bloggers make it a Blog of Merit, a great resource, and a really wonderful read. You can find a link to “Stella Scripts” to the left of this page = )
