Exit music (For a blog)

I’ve really enjoyed working on “The Anatomy...” for the months I have. It’s been fun developing a book online; I’ve met some great people, I’ve grown as a writer, and I’ve learned a great deal.

The Community of bloggers has be a constant source of courage and inspiration for me. It’s an experience I am not leaving behind, but coming back to in due time.

Life can throw some heavy curve balls at you. I’m proud of the fact that I posted every page I have without my own internet connection, from public libraries, and internet cafĂ©’s; but this is just a sign of my current poverty.

Some time ago I threw down and decided to live life on my times- in doing this, I made several errors of judgment, each forcing me to live a more and more frugal lifestyle, which is not what I really want- a little bit of comfort goes a long way.

The clean up I’m indulging in still affords me space to write- space to write, but not to dedicate the time I would like to to “The Anatomy…” Rather than doing many things poorly, I’ve decided it best to get my lifestyle back to where I want it and then resume publishing “The Anatomy…,”

I’ll be back sometime, just not soon, but I’ll still be around.

Thanks to all the people who supported, advised and helped me; thanks to all those who commented on posts and encouraged my strange project. Keep blogging, keep writing and keep dreaming of worlds undreamed.

Thanks

Tom.

It's bloody hard work building up a readership and hanging onto them. Over the last few months I've seen several good blogs bite the dust but I frankly had you pegged as a more tenacious bugger than most and, reading in between the lines I guess you are; perhaps a lesser guy would have packed it in months ago.

There's no rule that says you have to post daily you know. There's a guy in England who's blog was the first I subscribed to who decided to jack it in because of ill health (basically he had some bad news and was feeling a bit Oh-woe-is-me) and I think he lasted a day. You know your circumstances but I would've thought access through libraries was free – it certainly is in the UK. I would suggest – and it is only a suggestion – that you try posting once a week just to keep the connections you've made open. Customer loyalty ain't what it used to be – there's too much out there to distract them and you will be amazed how quickly you'll be forgotten and you'll be back at square one. Listen to your Uncle Sisyphus – I know a thing or two about starting all over again.

Whatever you decide I'll keep you in my RSS reader so at least there'll be someone around when the hero returns.

Thank you for all the time and effort and above all, creativity and great ideas that you've put into the blog. I know I never commented much, but I will miss reading it.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do!

Mate, I wish you all the best in getting your life back on track. I know what that's like and let me tell you, the road is an interesting one to take.

I will still be a subscriber because I know you'll come back but in the meantime...

Stay well, take care,

Corey

Hi BT,

It's a difficult decision but a critical one. Jim's suggestion is a good one, at lease 2 or 3 posts a month would be okay.

Some people I meet everyday would have given up a long time ago under the circumstances you describe - some don't even have the courage nor character to try and do something creative when they're economically challenged.

Just don't delete your blog BT. I will post a comment on this post, if it's your last at least once a month. Or, you can try out guest bloggers whom you trust.

Good luck and take care. We'll expect to hear from you. :-) --Durano, done!

On your journey, you will take many detours and side roads and then get back on the highway. You know what BT? That is just fine. It is "OK." We all do it; we just may not write about it the way you do.

Best wishes to you. I know we will hear from you again. Enjoy your "new journey." :)

Hi Beautiful Tom,

I'm slow. Slow at writing, slow at reading, slow on the comments.

Please know how inspirational you are to me. You've helped me develop the tools to weild with veracity.

Your words are important to many people. You get people thinking. These comments and the feedback you receive are indicitive of how instrumental you are.

Thank you so much for all the blood, sweat and tears you've squeezed out for us. Once you've pumped up again there'll be plenty more I'm sure.

One of these days I hope I can convince you of the many shades of grey that are integral in our everyday lives... So, listen to Jim, just post once a month or so. Or, work on your art and then come back and blow us all away!!

Much love,
Riley
(your BH)

All the best.

There's obviously quite a bunch of people who will be glad to see you post anytime you feel like it.

A little comfort *does* go a long way but comfort and artistic endeavour need not be mutually exclusive.

Remember Dudley Moore in 'Arthur';

"I race cars, play tennis, and fondle women, BUT! I have weekends off, and I am my own boss."

Very Best Wishes

Happy writing, growing and being in the moment of life.

I missed the whole thing!! I read a review you wrote on someones blog and was impressed by your use of words, so I clicked to read your profile. It was no surprise to find you a writter.

I love art and words. I spend so much time creating, I find it hard to keep up with all of this myself(only posting occasionally).

Farwell, for now, sorry I missed the opportunity.

Hi Again BT,

How are you doing? It's now September and summer's over in America while spring has arrived in Australia.

I suggest you post an update, better yet for each month if possible. If not, an update in September that covers events from April to date.

Come on, surely that can't be very hard. I'll expect an update this month. :-) --Durano, done!
